Your use of our site is deemed to be your acceptance of these Terms of Use.

1. Privacy & Anti-Abuse

In addition to our stated privacy policies, please be advised that visitor I.P. addresses are automatically added to all forms submitted from this site. An I.P. address cannot identify you personally; this measure is intended solely to combat abuse and ensure the integrity of our quoting system.

2. Intellectual Property & Copyrights

The presentation, design, and material displayed on this site are the intellectual and physical property of Moving Cars and are protected under Australian and International Copyright Law. Content or graphics may not be duplicated or distributed without express written consent.

3. Liability & Our Position

Moving Cars acts as an agent on your behalf to obtain the best possible price and service. We do not directly transport the vehicles ourselves.

Agency Model: You understand that responsibility for transporting your vehicle lies with the agreed carrier.
Carrier Terms: By booking, you agree to the specific carrier's terms and conditions.
Damage Claims: If any damage occurs, the carrier themselves will deal with this for you as the primary service provider.
"As Is" Basis: This site is presented on an "as is" basis without warranty concerning technical inaccuracies.

4. Conditions of Transport

All vehicles must comply with the following strict terms to be eligible for transport:

Vehicle Status

• Drivable & roadworthy condition
• Functioning brakes & handbrakes
• Able to start/run without a jump start
• Windows and roof must be intact

Dimensions & Weight

• Minimum 150mm (6 inch) clearance
• Standard height: Below 1.90m
• Max weight: 3 tonnes (unless prearranged)
• Dimensions taken from furthest points

5. Transporting Goods Inside Vehicles

"Goods in Car" Policy

Vehicles must be empty unless you have selected and paid for the 'Goods in Car' option.

• Limit: Strictly 80kg maximum.
• Visibility: Goods must not block windows.
• Placement: Nothing behind the driver's seat or front passenger seats.
• Liability: No legal liability is accepted for loss or damage to goods or vehicle as a result of goods being inside.

Note: Spare tyres, jacks, and fitted baby seats are allowed in all vehicles without extra charge.

6. Transit Times & Estimates

Transit times are always an estimate and cannot be guaranteed. They are calculated in business days (excluding weekends/public holidays).

Estimates may vary due to seasonal peaks, acts of nature, or carrier backlogs. We recommend that you do not plan meetings, trips, or holidays based on estimated delivery dates.

7. Cancellations & Adjustments

Written Notice: All cancellations must be in writing; we do not accept cancellations via phone.
Fees: A cancellation fee of $125.00 to $225.00 applies depending on timing.
Futile Fees: If cancelled with less than 48 hours notice and a carrier attempts collection, a futile fee ($150 - $300+) may be charged.
In-Transit: Once a vehicle is collected/on the truck, the full transport costs may be withheld as space cannot be re-booked.
Admin Fees: Changes to confirmed bookings may incur an admin fee.

8. Special Conditions

Auctions

Vehicles from auction houses must be drivable and have no damage/dents. Cars marked as "write-off" require a re-quote.

WA Quarantine

Vehicles entering WA are subject to Inspection. Contaminated vehicles incur a minimum cleaning charge (approx $130) payable directly to the carrier.

Depots & Storage

Storage fees may apply after 2 days at a depot (typically $55/day). SMB Darwin/Alice Springs depots do not provide insurance; customers should obtain their own coverage for these locations.
