For transport between Kununurra and Broome, be precise about where the vehicle is and where it must finish. A nearby station, accommodation property or worksite should be named in the quote request rather than treated as part of a town-to-town booking. Moving Cars can assess the service available for your locations and vehicle.

Pickup and delivery options

Handover options depend on the location and selected service. Capital cities and larger centres may offer depot or address collection and delivery. In smaller towns, handover may be at your address, through a local agent or at an agreed meeting point with the driver. Your quote confirms the available arrangement. The enclosed-network depots listed on this page identify transport connections; they are not necessarily your pickup or delivery handover points.

Enclosed transport and connecting legs

Enclosed transport is available between capital-city depots in both directions. Townsville is also part of this enclosed depot network and is treated as a capital-city depot for quoting purposes.

For Kununurra–Broome, the enclosed option combines these legs in either direction:

  • Kununurra ↔ Darwin depot: standard carrier.
  • Darwin depot ↔ Perth depot: enclosed transport.
  • Perth depot ↔ Broome: standard carrier.

Moving Cars arranges the full journey, including the standard-carrier connections; you do not need to organise those legs separately. This is a mixed enclosed/standard service, not enclosed transport for the entire journey.

To request enclosed rates, obtain a standard vehicle quote, then reply requesting an enclosed upgrade. Confirm the depot locations, enclosed leg and any standard-carrier connections before booking. The initial standard quote does not book an enclosed service. See the enclosed enquiry guide.

Kununurra to Broome

Enter Kununurra as collection and Broome as delivery. If the vehicle is outside Kununurra, provide its actual location and explain the access, including gates, unsealed approaches or restrictions on large vehicles.

If you need to leave before collection, arrange a person who can release the car and provide the keys. Confirm that the property or business can hold it until the agreed handover; do not assume accommodation checkout and vehicle collection will coincide.

At Broome, decide who can receive the car and whether an offered depot handover is practical. Ask about opening hours, collection authority and possible storage charges if you cannot attend when it becomes available.

Broome to Kununurra

For the reverse journey, enter Broome as collection and Kununurra as delivery. Get a fresh quote for the direction and dates you need. Availability and handover arrangements need not mirror a previous southbound booking.

Tell us if the final destination is beyond Kununurra or across a state border. That is a different full journey from a booking ending in Kununurra and may require different arrangements. Do not assume onward movement is included.

For a vehicle being sold, agree when the seller will release it and who will attend. Give the receiving contact the confirmed instructions rather than relying on the seller to coordinate both ends.

Access and timing need confirmation

Explain any access restrictions or changes before collection. Ask how the carrier will contact the handover person and what to do if the agreed location becomes inaccessible. A nearby meeting point must be confirmed, not selected independently on the day.

Discuss your earliest release date, available handover windows and any deadline at the destination. Transit timing is an estimate unless a particular service expressly confirms otherwise. Avoid booking onward travel around an unconfirmed arrival.

Prepare a vehicle returning from a trip

Clean the vehicle so its condition can be inspected, and disclose damage, leaks or running problems. Include canopies, roof racks and other accessories in the dimensions supplied for the quote.

Remove loose travel gear unless you have selected and booked an available Goods in Car option. Follow its packing and weight rules; do not pack gas cylinders, spare fuel containers or other dangerous goods. See the belongings guide.

Questions before booking

Can a broken-down vehicle be moved?

Describe whether it starts, rolls, steers and brakes. It can be considered for specialist transport; a standard drivable quote does not confirm acceptance.

Does this booking include an interstate crossing?

Both named endpoints are in WA. Give the full itinerary if your actual collection or destination is outside WA so the quote and any entry requirements can be checked. Our quarantine guide covers entry into WA and Tasmania.

What should be ready for collection?

Have a quarter tank of fuel or a charged EV, keys, release details and condition photos. Follow the preparation checklist and carrier instructions.
